My SECOND trip to Paris with Paris Found Tours, with Gwen and Sophie, was even more fun that the first trip two years before. This was because all the things that Gwen had advised about the first trip, I actually DID the second trip.

I had an ATM card that didn't have fees, I knew how many Euros to have for the taxi, I knew roughly where the apartment was, and I remembered that comfortable shoes and black pants were the only necessary things I had to take!

The apartments provided for the tours are wonderful and located right in the heart of Montmarte, which is trendy and colorful and an area where you can spend the entire week. I was familiar with the market, realized that it was OK not to speak French (but ok also to try), not afraid to venture out on my own, knew where the restaurants were and was familiar with getting money and finding transportation. I also knew that if I wasn't home in time, a posse would be sent for me!

We saw all the things I wanted to see that I had the energy for (yes, I'm looking forward to a THIRD trip to Paris). We went to galleries, the Paris Opera House, several of us went to Versailles, The Louvre, The D'Orsay, we shopped and ate crepes and drank wine and ate brie and laughed and had a most wonderful time. I didn't know six of the women (three others were friends of mine), but it didn't matter as we all paired up to go where we wanted or became one wonderful group! We all were tucked into bed at night and we all got our flights home. We learned the metro and the bus and the important words that kept us from trouble. Our neighborhood was safe and as a matter of fact, even at night in Paris we felt safe. The boat trip down the Seine was fabulous - the trip was fabulous and if you see me anywhere, I'll be looking fabulous like all the French ladies do.

I can highly recommend the Paris Found Tour - I've been twice and that isn't the last time!
